37 tenants at a Windhoek salon are left stranded following the sudden closure of their workstations.
What appear to be unresolved management matters have left renters saddened by the abrupt closure of the salon where they worked for years.
They woke up to a message informing them to collect their belongings without notice.
Terming the act as unfair, the 37 tenants are left with many unanswered questions, mainly where to go and how to survive amid the rising inflation and unemployment rate.
One of the management personnel, a foreign national, has been ignoring their calls.
The salon allegedly also has a record municipal debt and an unpaid electricity bill, often leaving the tenants to contribute funds to resume operations.
The nbc News team has been informed that the management in question has not been paying their rent.
The group says they have always paid their deposits on time, and it's disappointing that they are being let go with no explanation.
They also claim that management owes them money that they recently paid N$1,000 each as a deposit.
The group has requested financial assistance in order to continue with the business in the same building.
The manager in question's phone has been off or gone unanswered.
