Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, the External Affairs Minister of the Republic of India, has arrived at the Hosea Kutako International Airport for an official visit to Namibia.
The visit is scheduled to last for three days.
The purpose of the visit is to strengthen the bilateral relationship between India and Namibia. During the visit, Dr. Jaishankar will engage in discussions and meetings with Namibian officials to review and renew cooperation between the two countries.

Jaishankar will meet with his counterpart, the Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, for bilateral talks. They will discuss various issues of mutual interest, explore opportunities for collaboration, and strengthen diplomatic ties between India and Namibia.
The relationship between India and Namibia dates back to the time of Namibia's struggle for independence. India played a supportive role in Namibia's liberation movement and has continued to foster strong ties ever since.
