Former Chief Executive Officer of Erongo Red, Fessor Mbango is the new head of CENORED in the Otjozondjupa Region.
Mbango replaces Robert Kahimise, who was appointed CEO of the Electricity Control Board.
Mbango was introduced as the new CEO for a five-year tenure by the company's Chairperson, Moses Matjayi.
"We definitely have confidence that we have made the right appointment, and we are happy to present to you Mr. Fessor Mbango as the Chief Executive Officer of CENORED, effective today, for the next five years".
Mbango, on his part, promised to fully execute and implement the goals of the company's 5-year strategic plan that was launched in 2021.
"I am delighted and very much happy to take over and ensure that we take the Strategic Plan of the organisation further as it was newly implemented. We will continue with the strategic plan of the organisation and ensure that we achieve the results. We will definitely look at service delivery; we will look at ensuring that the company remains sustainable; and ensure that our stakeholders are properly engaged; and at the same time, we will look at safety for all, including the environment that we operate in" said Mbango.
CENORED is the third licenced regional electricity distribution company to be established in the country, providing services to the Otjozondjupa and Kunene regions.
