The security situation in the SADC region is said to be stable despite conflicts in the DRC and Mozambique.

SADC Executive Secretary General Elias Magosi made the statement during the 25th Ordinary Meeting of the Ministerial Committee of the Organ on Politics.

"I am pleased to inform the meeting that through the deliberate design of infrastructure for peace and a robust early warning system, the security situation in the SADC region continues to be stable, not withstanding other threats in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo and Mozambique. The SADC structure has been responding to these security challenges."
