The Omaheke Regional Council and the Batswana Ba Namibia Traditional Authority have signed an agreement to manage and maintain a cattle project in the community of the Okorukambe Constituency of the Omaheke Region.

Five years ago, the community received 43 cows and two bulls for the purpose of community development-related affairs.

Kgosi Andrew Kgosiemang of the Batswana Ba Namibia Traditional Authority states that the signed agreement will help ensure the smooth operation of the cattle project, with the primary objective of improving the livelihoods of the community.

The Councillor of Okorukambe Constituency, Rocco Nguvauva, emphasised that the Omaheke Regional Council is committed to promoting the economic growth and prosperity of the residents. He highlighted that projects like the one in question should have a significant and positive impact on the community.

Nguvauva also urged residents of Epukiro RC to ensure that disputes among members do not affect community projects.
