A teaching and learning initiative aimed at bridging the subject comprehension gap between learners in public schools and their counterparts in private schools was launched in Swakopmund.
This initiative is a collaborative effort between the Directorate of Education, Arts, and Culture and the Red Ribbon Bright Futures Project, a social engagement endeavour.
As part of the project, learners from under-resourced public schools will have the chance to engage with their counterparts at private schools.
Emmanuel Mkundi, the founder of the Bright Future Project, highlighted that this opportunity enables learners from disadvantaged backgrounds to access the superior learning resources offered at private schools, thus unlocking their potential.
The initiative will commence its pilot phase at the Pro ED Akademie School in Swakopmund.
Learners will engage in various activities, including after-school learning programmes, academic competitions, field trips, clubs, and community service projects.
Educators at Pro ED Akademie School are confident that this learning approach will provide participating learners with a comprehensive and dynamic educational experience.
