The Namibian Statistics Agency says it is ready to conduct the Population and Housing Census.
NSA's Stastician General Alex Shimuafeni explains who will be counted during the Census Reference Night of the 24th.
"It is critical to understand who will be counted. For clarity, every person found within the borders of Namibia during the midnight of September 24, 2023, which is known as Census Reference Night (CRN), regardless of nationality, age, or social status, will be counted. This will range from newborn babies to the elderly and all people, whether they are Namibian nationals or non-nationals. Everybody who finds themselves outside of Namibia on September 24 2023, will not be counted as part of the population."
