The third edition of the Standard Bank Junior Hockey National Festival took place at Windhoek High School for two days. Both U11 girls and boys from different hometowns participated in the festival at the Windhoek High School field on Saturday. Each team played three matches in their respective pools, resulting in two teams from each pool advancing to the quarterfinals.

The organizer, Erwin Handura, expressed his delight with the event, highlighting the incredible skills displayed by all 16 teams on the field. The main objective of the festival is to promote the game of hockey by bringing together the best players from various regions in Windhoek. Additionally, the festival aims to select the top 16 boys and girls, as they will represent the U13 team in Zimbabwe and Zambia next year.

During the tournament, some players shared their thoughts on representing their hometowns. The one-day event concluded on Saturday.
