In the early hours of Monday morning, players from the Tigers Football Club were involved in a car accident while returning to Windhoek from the northern part of the country. Nelson Akwenye, the chairperson of the football club, provided more details about the incident.

The accident occurred around 1AM, approximately 90km before reaching Okahandja, after the Tigers FC's match against Eeshoke Chula Chula on Sunday. It seems that the accident was caused by a burst tire.

Nelson Akwenye, the chairperson of Tigers FC, shared additional information about the accident. Out of the eight team members involved, one player is currently under close observation as he was airlifted to Windhoek for medical attention.

At the end of the interview, the chairperson informed NBC Sport that some of the players who were initially in stable condition have returned to the hospital. The team requests the public to keep them in their prayers as they strive for a speedy recovery.
