In the early hours of Monday morning, players from the Tigers Football Club were involved in a car accident while returning to Windhoek from the northern part of the country. Nelson Akwenye, the chairperson of the football club, provided more details about the incident.

The accident occurred around 1AM, approximately 90km before reaching Okahandja, after the Tigers FC's match against Eeshoke Chula Chula on Sunday. It seems that the accident was caused by a burst tire.

Tigers FC registered three points after defeating Citizens FC by five goals to three in their Debmarine Namibia Premiership encounter Wednesday at the Khomasdal Stadium.
