Learning was disrupted at Eros Primary School in the capital on Friday, following a disturbing and seemingly demonic incident linked to a game allegedly played by a Grade 5 learner the previous day.

What was meant to be a day of education took a terrifying turn, resembling scenes from a horror movie.

Reportedly, the "Charlie Charlie" challenge game, a divination game where a balanced pencil points towards "yes" or "no" in response to questions, triggered the chilling events.

This game is a modern version of the older Spanish game called "Juego de la Lapicera."

When the nbc News crew arrived at the primary school, the affected learners were in disarray, receiving medical attention from ambulance paramedics.

A parent of a learner affected by the game anonymously spoke to nbc News, expressing that this was not the first incident of its kind at the school.

A similar incident occurred around the same time last year, which raises concerns as exams are approaching.

Efforts to obtain comments from the school's board, Principal Jacobine Hamata, and the Education Ministry were unsuccessful.

However, a letter sent out to parents, as seen by the nbc, calls for a meeting to address this eerie matter.
