The Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation (MIRCO) will be convening the 9th session of the Namibian Heads of Mission Conference tomorrow.

The conference will be held under the theme "Pursuing Namibia's Economic Diplomacy for Development and Prosperity".

Representatives from the three branches of government, former Namibian Heads of Mission, members of the Diplomatic Corps, Namibian Honorary Consuls, and senior government officials are expected to attend the conference.

In addition, as part of the week-long programme, the Ministry will host an exhibition during which the Namibian missions will exhibit and display the key economic diplomacy achievements of their respective missions.

The meeting aims to, among others, review the implementation of Namibia's Foreign Policy and other policy documents that will further enhance the efficiency of the Foreign Service.
   
Currently, Namibia has 35 missions abroad, comprising 31 diplomatic missions and four consulates.
