The Oshikoto Region is working towards achieving zero fatalities during the festive season.

Oshikoto Regional Commander Commissioner Teopolina Kalompo-Nashikaku calls for teamwork and coordination by all road users to ensure zero fatalities, zero serious injuries, and zero stock theft.

She said this during the planning and review meeting held at Omuthiya in the Oshikoto Region on Tuesday.

Commissioner Kalompo-Nashikaku added that gender-based violence and rape cases are also escalating in the region, and on this, she assures the community that the police will conduct awareness campaigns in the community to make sure that people know their rights.

Members of the police who showed commitment to their work were also awarded for their good conduct and dedication to the profession.
