Former Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (nbc) Board Chairperson Uazuva Kaumbi was buried on Saturday at his home village, Otjiwapeke, in the Daures Constituency.

Survived by his wife and six children, Kaumbi wore many hats owing to his vast knowledge and expertise.

He ensured that the knowledge he gained was passed on to the next generation by moderating at the Namibia Business School and lecturing at the University of Science and Technology.

Mourners from different walks of life all spoke of how much they had learned from him.

Dr. Kaumbi served as executive producer for the local film 'Where Others Waivered', while he continued to write articles occasionally for Die Republikein newspaper.

Among the mourners were former learners from different institutions and representatives from the Ovaherero Traditional Authority.

The nbc was represented by the Board Chairperson, Lazarus Jacobs, and other former colleagues.

The late Dr. Uazuva Kaumbi died on the 16th of this month, aged 60, after battling cancer.
