The Namibia Swimming Federation, in collaboration with the Namibia Sports Commission and the Namibia National Olympic Committee, bid farewell to six talented swimmers who will be representing Namibia in the 15th Africa Junior Swimming and Open Water Championship in Mauritius.

From December 6th to 10th, these six Junior Swimmers will showcase their skills in what will be their final competition of 2023.

Accompanied by their coach, these swimmers recently participated in the Long Course Gala on Saturday, demonstrating their readiness for the upcoming championship.

The Namibia Sports Commission's Chalo Chainda and Joan Smit from the Namibia National Olympics Committee officially sent off the swimmers, while Telecom Namibia generously sponsored essential items to facilitate their trip.

During the send-off, Chalo Chainda, representing the Commission, handed over the national colours, emphasizing the swimmers' responsibility to represent their nation with pride in Mauritius.

Team captain Jose Canjulo expressed his excitement about leading the team in Mauritius, ready to give their best performance.

Coach Nadia Van Rensburg confirmed that the swimmers are well-prepared and eager to compete in Mauritius.

The team is scheduled to depart for Mauritius on Monday, embarking on an exciting journey filled with challenges and opportunities to showcase their swimming prowess.
