The Swapo Party, the political home of the late Dr. Hage Geingob, has been shattered by the sudden death of their party president, saying his passing came as a shock to many.

On Tuesday, they had a candlelight event in remembrance of the late president at the Swapo Regional Headquarters at Okandjegedi, where some described him as a good communicator and unifier.

The regional executive committee members of Swapo Party, all three mayors of local authorities in Oshana, and district treasurers led by Swapo Regional Coordinator Werner Iita said Namibia has lost an extraordinary leader, with many finding it hard to come to terms with his death.
