In the Otjozondjupa Region, pensioners at Kalkfeld gathered at the local sports field to remember the good deeds of the president. 

They say this is a befitting honour, as Dr. Geingob and his wife, Monica, visited the settlement many times, where they engaged with pensioners and community members on development and financial assistance.

Plans are underway to call a community meeting to decide on renaming the sports field.
