Claudia Kambanza, who was allegedly stabbed to death by her partner in the United Kingdom, was buried at the Pionerspark Cemetery in Windhoek today.
22-year-old Kambanza was a resident of the city of Hull in the UK and died on January 26 of this year.
She was allegedly murdered by her partner, 28-year-old Mateus Johannes, who has since been in custody.
Johannes is charged with murder and possession of a sharp object in public.
Johannes made a second court appearance in the United Kingdom in early February, where the matter was postponed to March 28. The trail date is set for July.
Kambanza's remains arrived in Namibia on February 26 from the UK.
A memorial service was also held in honour of the late on Friday evening at the Martin Luther Congregation in Khomsdal Windhoek.
