Services have been fully restored at Mangetti Dune Health Centre in Tsumkwe Constituency following renovations.
The 24-hour centre also now has a doctor, a pharmacist, and a social worker.
A budget of N$1 million was set aside to renovate the centre and bring all services to standard.
Otjozondjupa Regional Health Director, Gerbardo Timotheus, says the clinic was a military clinic before independence.
"It was one of our facilities that was very dilapidated and was in very bad condition, which was actually risky to the clients or patients as well as our staff members, but let me thank the Ministry of Health and Social Services head office that they have assisted us and we managed to renovate the health centre."
Timotheus added that plans are also on the cards to set up a lab for blood sample tests.
The centre was, however, challenged by the lack of an ambulance, as it was the only one they have experienced constant breakdowns with, but that is over now as the clinic has received an ambulance.
Mangetti Dune Health Centre serves a population of over 15,000 inhabitants.
