The past six weeks have seen the Central Tennis Association host the inaugural tennis tournament called Hemes Mould Kaulinge Van dyk (HMKV) Invitational in Windhoek.

The tournament is dedicated to honouring Namibia's own living tennis legends.

Top male and female tennis players were invited to participate in the competition to encourage youngsters to play the game.

This event honors the sport's living legends: Leon Hemmes, Bob Mould, Samson Kaulinge, and Amanda Van Dyk. Bob Mould dedicated an extensive 36 years to the Central Tennis Club, selecting players and helping to organize tennis for the country.

Leon Hemmes and Samson Kaulinge also contributed to the administration and funding of the club. Amanda Van Dyk is the club's most decorated female member with 18 championships.

The coach shared insights about the tournament and highlighted standout moments.

The tournament is set to conclude tomorrow with a prize-giving ceremony.
