In an effort to teach learners the importance of saving and entrepreneurship, the Minkys True Care Foundation, based at Keetmanshoop, conducted its inaugural 'Entrepreneurship and Fun Day'.

The event was attended by hundreds of learners, their parents, and guidance officials from the ||Kharas Region.

Minkys True Care Foundation is the brainchild of Keetmanshoop resident Eveline Krohne, who for a number of years has provided food, shelter, and caregiving facilities to vulnerable members of the community.

The entrepreneurship and fun day was aimed at providing a platform for learners to showcase their products and services.

Learners also participated in a number of sports activities to promote teamwork, friendship, and positive social interaction.

Many of the learners that sold goods at the fun day expressed their joy at the opportunity to learn entrepreneurship and make a small profit.

Similar events are planned for later this year.
