The Namibia Qualifications Authority (NQA) has urged training providers to ensure that they are registered and that their qualifications or courses are accredited.

This is important to instill public confidence and prevent students from wasting their time and money.

All training providers must apply for accreditation with the NQA. To ensure that accreditation standards are met, training providers and institutions must submit an application form to the NQA, along with the necessary supporting documents and a self-evaluation form.

The NQA emphasised that it does not handle the registration of higher learning institutions, as that responsibility lies with other relevant entities within the higher education community.

Application forms for accreditation can be obtained from the NQA offices or downloaded from the website, www.namqa.org.
