Ending the football season, first placed in the FNB Women Super League and second in the Debmarine Namibia Premiership, Ongos Sports Club deemed it fitting to celebrated the hard work of their players and staff at the 2023/24 Ongos Sports Club Awards Ceremony. Let's dive into the night that was.

Player of the season Celebrating the powerful forces that brought Ongos Sports Club this far was the objective of last evening's 2023/24 Ongos Sports Club Awards Ceremony held at the Khomas Regional Council.

Officially opening the ceremony was Chairman of Ongos Valley Reagon Craig.

NFA President, Robert Shimooshili and guest of honor, Agnes Tjongarero were in attendance and shared these remarks.

Celebrating the hard work and dedication of the players in the FNB Women Super League and the Debmarine Namibia Premiership, the sport club ended the two football seasons on a high.

The evening ended with the most prestigious awards, the first being the players' player of the season in the women's team.

FC Ongos captain Lovisa Mulunga was crowned players' player of the season, while from the men's team Wangu Gome walked away with the title.

With a record of 22 games, 21 wins and 1 draw the FC Ongos ladies were crowned team of the season, scoring 105 goals. Ongos ladies coach Shama Gure accepted the award with his team.

The biggest award of the night was the player of the season, awarded to Ivone Kooper and Tjingee Kapundjiri.

As a successful season was had and celebrated the Ongos team plans to continue showing up at their best and making sure that awards become standard procedure.
