The NCCI's Business Symposium is underway at the Logos Ship in Walvis Bay.

The all-day-long symposium is being held under the theme of Championing Namibia's Local Content for Diversity, Inclusion, and Sustainable Economic Growth and seeks to harness insights needed to help the country steer strategic development agendas.

In her opening remarks, the CEO of the Chamber, Charity Mwiya, urged participants to not only use the platform to suggest concerns but also come up with strategies aimed at alleviating bottlenecks in their respective industries.

The event is graced by local and international experts in oil and gas, logistics, finance, and marine industries.

Among them is American oil giant Halliburton, which has invested N$183 million in the construction and operation of a liquid mud treatment and completion fluid plant at Berth 8 in the Port of Walvis Bay.

The NCCI, which engaged in promoting dialogue, sharing experiences, and creating synergies, says hosting the event at the ship speaks directly to the culture of innovation and proactivity advanced by the Chamber.

Mwiya says the engagement is being held at the coastal town as part of the Chamber’s outreach to the regional communities for inclusive and meaningful inputs.
