After suffering a significant defeat against the Bulls last weekend, Director of Rugby Allister Coetzee and his team returned to the drawing board this week to prepare for Portugal.

For some rugby fans, last weekend's clash against the local Welwitschias and the experienced Bulls side might have been a bitter pill to swallow after a 92-8 thrashing.

However, the focus now shifts to the next assignment as the team and staff prepare to face Portugal on Saturday.

After a week of intense preparation, Director of Rugby Allister Coetzee reflected on the lessons learned from last weekend's match.

In addition to the areas needing improvement, Coetzee also spoke positively about the new talent that was on display, particularly highlighting the emergence of young players in the team.

Looking ahead to the Portugal test match, Coetzee emphasized the return of experienced players to the squad.

The fixture between Namibia and Portugal's Os Lobos will mark the first international rugby test on Namibian soil since 2019.

The game is scheduled to kick off at 15:00 at the Hage Geingob Stadium.
