Authorities in the Oshikoto Region arrested a 44-year-old man from Onyaanya village for allegedly raping his 14-year-old daughter.

The suspect reportedly called his daughter into his room and raped her. He was caught in the act.

The case was promptly reported to the police, and the suspect was arrested. He is expected to appear in the Ondangwa Magistrate’s Court on Friday.

In a separate incident, a 16-year-old Angolan national from Owenda village in Ondjiva, who worked as a cattle herder, was electrocuted at Omuthiya near the town's sewage dam.

The boy reportedly climbed an electric pole, was electrocuted, and died instantly, with his remains stuck on the pole.

Police investigations into both matters are ongoing.
