The death of Khoekhoegowab researcher Michael Doëseb has been described as a big loss to his family and the Damaran community.

Doëseb was a cultural enthusiast and Khoekhoegowab preserver who lived with his family in Khorixas, Kunene Region. 

The late Doëseb worked in Khorixas as a police officer and as a Mathematic and Natural Science teacher. 

His burial is expected to take place on the third of August at Khorixas.
