Two families at Mubiza Village in the Zambezi Region were left destitute after their houses were gutted by fire this week.

The incident was attributed to a toddler who was playing with thatched grass and is alleged to have started the fire.

The blaze increased rapidly to the next house, causing both houses to burn down.

The residents tried to put out the fire, but they could not save much from it except one couch, pots, and a bed.

All belongings, including birth certificates, school uniforms, blankets, and other household items, were destroyed in the blaze.
