Friends, family, and former Football players from across the country paid their last respects to the late Philemon Shuumbwa, well known as "Kaskas" Angula, at the Okaku constituency in the Oshana region.
People including friends, family, former footballers, and the Okaku community gathered at the Okaku Parish in prayer to say farewell to the late Philemon "Kaskas" Angula, who died on the 5th of August.
Born on the 20th of August 1974, the retired footballer and striker of Oshakati City and Brave Warriors was known to be an exceptional footballer in his prime when he played for Oshakati City from 1992 to 2004.
Many remembered Kaskas Angula as an iconic footballer, mentor, advisor, coach, and peacemaker.
NBC Sport spoke to those who came to pay their last respects, including former players, a childhood friend, and Angula's daughter, who all shared the same sentiment that they had lost a legend.

Kaskas Angula leaved behind his high school sweetheart wife, Lempie Mwatala and five children. Two sons, Leroy and Fillemon 'Kaskas' Jr., and three daughters, Naomi Lensie, Lempie Ndinelago, and Annah Angula.
