President Dr. Nangolo Mbumba, as the outgoing Chairperson of the SADC Organ on Politics, Defence, and Security, is currently participating in the SADC Organ Troika Summit of Heads of State and Government in Zimbabwe.

Held on the margins of the 44th Ordinary Summit of SADC Heads of State and Government, the Organ Troika Summit will deliberate on the region’s political and security situation, including the Progress Report on the SADC Mission in the DRC (SAMIDRC) and the Implementation of the Drawdown and Withdrawal Plan of the SADC Mission in Mozambique (SAMIM).

This Organ Troika Summit will conclude the participation of Namibia in the Organ Troika in the capacity of the Outgoing Chair of the Organ, while Zambia will hand over the Chair of the Organ Troika to Tanzania, and Malawi will become the Incoming Chair.
