The Project Never Walk Alone, initiated to tackle the issue of barefootedness among underprivileged children, recently celebrated a significant milestone, marking three years of transformative contributions to society.
The event was attended by ambassadors and sponsors who gathered to commemorate the project's third anniversary.
The celebration took place at the Windhoek SKW Go-Karts Centre, under the theme "Race Towards Zero Barefootedness."
Tim Ekanjo from MTC provided an overview of what this milestone means for the initiative.
The initiative officially turned three on August 10th.
Some of the brand ambassadors and sponsors shared their experiences, highlighting the profound impact the project's handovers have had on various lives.
To date, the project has distributed 12,200 pairs of shoes, reaching nine regions and making a significant difference in many lives.
Looking ahead, the team plans to visit regions such as Kharas and Oshana next, with a target of distributing 2,000 pairs of shoes in each area.
They are committed to achieving their vision of providing a pair of shoes for every barefooted child in Namibia.
The race was a symbolic stand against barefootedness.
