The Council of Churches Namibia (CCN) is calling on churches in the country to support vulnerable communities.

Churches, the CCN says, should, in collaboration with government and non-governmental organisations, do more to address the root causes of poverty and food insecurity.

The council is urging the business community to join hands with the government to strengthen the food distribution network and ensure equitable access to the nation's resources.

In unity and faith, the CCN says, Namibians should join together in providing relief and support to communities affected by social calamities and drought.

It further called on all churches to provide both spiritual and physical support to Namibians.
