The International Pairs Golf Tournament, previously sponsored by Windhoek Lager, has secured a new three-year sponsorship from King Price. This partnership is a significant boost for Namibia's premier golf event.
The International Pairs Golf Tournament, a nationwide competition involving golfers from various clubs across Namibia, offers participants the opportunity to compete in the world championships held annually.
King Price's three-year commitment to the tournament will greatly benefit golfers during the weekend event.
While the sponsorship value remains undisclosed, organizer Hugh Mortimer hailed it as a significant opportunity to support participants in their quest to compete at the highest level.
Christopher Van Der Merwe, King Price's Marketing Manager, expressed the company's excitement about becoming a key stakeholder in the competition and looks forward to achieving greater success during the partnership.
The tournament, held at both Omeya and Windhoek Golf Clubs over the weekend, was won by former Brave Warriors striker Joseph Martin and his partner Thomas Shitaleni.
They will now compete against the world's best golfers in Tenerife, Spain, from September 30th to November 4th.
Namibia's chances of success are high, having been crowned world champions in 2018 and 2022. Joseph Martin, a 2018 world champion in Portugal, has another opportunity to bring glory to Namibia.
