The leader of the Affirmative Repositioning (AR) movement, Professor Job Amupanda, who is visiting Katima Mulilo to engage residents on their day-to-day challenges, says that the youth in particular need serious interventions as a lack of employment opportunities continues to affect them.

Amupanda said this at a media conference on Tuesday, where he appealed to young people to evaluate their current state of life and future as the country prepares to go to the elections in November.

The engagement is being held under the theme “Our country, our future, our time," adding that it directly speaks to young people and having them realise the importance of securing youthful leadership for Namibia, which he said is in the best interest of their future.
