The Namibia Fish Consumption Promotion Trust has donated N$300,000 to the ongoing construction of the Ondangwa Sport Stadium, a state-of-the-art sport facility being built in the northern region of Namibia.

The project, which broke ground earlier this year, aims to cater to the needs of the Ondangwa community and surrounding areas. With this generous donation, the stadium is expected to be completed sooner than anticipated.

Speaking at the official handover of the donation,

Ismael Namugongo, CEO of the Ondangwa Town Council, expressed his gratitude to the Namibia Fish Consumption Promotion Trust for their support. Namugongo said the donation will significantly contribute to the realization of their dream of a world-class sports facility.

Julia Kapia, Chairperson of the management committee, echoed Namgongo's sentiments, thanking the Trust for their commitment to the community. "This donation shows that the private sector can play a vital role in supporting local development projects," she stated.

Victor Pea, CEO of the Namibia Fish Consumption Promotion Trust, emphasized the importance of investing in sport infrastructure.

He believes that the Ondangwa Sports Stadium will not only benefit the local community but also attract investment and tourism to the region.

The Trust urges other businesses to join forces with the Ondangwa Town Council to ensure the timely completion of this ambitious project.
