The Women's Action for Development (WAD) conducted a five-day' workshop on gender-based violence (GBV) for male police officers.
The workshop, which was held at Rundu, was attended by members of the force from all the country's 14 regions.
The workshop focused on dismantling stereotypes, promoting gender equality, and finding solutions to the root cause of GBV.
The GBV and intimate partner violence dialogue programme started in 2016 to help combat GBV.
The Head of Crime Prevention Division, Kavango East Region, Lucia Kauure, encouraged the participants to share the knowledge gained with their colleagues as well as with the community.
This is the second training held for men in uniform on GBV this year, and it's being held under the theme "Promoting Positive and Transformed Masculinity."
