Government officials and education stakeholders gathered at A. Shipena Secondary School to dissect the future of education.

The two-day Future of Education Africa Conference is organised by the African Centre for Youth Development, Education, and Advocacy Initiative.

The conference is a brainstorming platform for seasoned technocrats to rub minds with others from academia, international organizations, and all stakeholders in the education sector.

The discussion is around bridging the gap in access, equity, and quality education in Africa.

Namibia's Vice President, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, says the government has prioritised the education system, but there is room for improvement.

Her speech was delivered on her behalf by Presidential Daisry Obal.

"Understanding these achievements, we still need to do more in order to improve the quality of our education. Knowledge and skills are crucial tools to compete in the 21st century. This can be achieved by focusing on multi-disciplinary training and blended curricula."

The Future of Education in Africa Conference has become a pivotal platform for addressing critical issues facing the education system across the continent.

Now in its third edition, the conference is held under the theme of "Bridging the Gap: Access, Equity, and Quality in African Education."
