The Keetmanshoop Town Council has officially unveiled two street names named after those who made an impact in the community.
In a tribute to the late businessman and football administrator Ludwig Helu, affectionately known as 'Baby' among the locals, the council honoured him with a street name.
It was also named a street after Landless People Movement (LPM) leader Bernadus Swartbooi.
The LPM leader said being given recognition in the town where he was born and bred is not easy.
Swartbooi was also just honoured with a street name in Oranjemund.
The family of late Helu witnessed the street naming ceremony.
