All three independent candidates were not able to make the cut after the verification processes were completed. The three are Elsie Chen, Jeremiah Kaambo, and Aily Angula.

The candidates have until tomorrow at 10:00 to ensure they adhere to the requirements.

The nomination of an independent candidate must be supported by at least 500 registered voters per region (7,000 registered voters); the form must be duly signed by any two persons whose names appear on the list, and it must be accompanied by a receipt that an amount of N$10,000 deposited in the State Revenue Fund.

In an interview with nbc News, Angula said it was found that some of the voter registration numbers on her list were found to be fake. She has called on the supporters to give real VR numbers, as these are only used to register them as candidates.
