Over 160 exhibitors from various sectors, including corporations, small-scale farmers, and SMEs, will participate in the 2024 Keetmanshoop Agricultural and Industrial Show.
Organizers promise visitors an entertaining, informative, and business-focused event. The annual expo is hosted by the Keetmanshoop Show Society in collaboration with the Keetmanshoop Municipality, the ||Kharas Regional Council, and the Office of the ||Kharas Governor. Standard Bank Namibia is the main sponsor.
Speaking to nbc News, Karl Burger, vice chairperson of the Show Society, confirmed that preparations are on track for the event, which starts on October 25th with the crowning of Miss KAITE, followed by the official opening on October 29th.
"We're already on the ground handling final preparations, repairs, and maintenance. Everything is set. Bookings are sorted, and we’re now focusing on Miss Expo, which kicks off next Friday, the 25th," said Burger.
Among the biggest attractions this year are the goat show and the Swakara Pelt competition.
"The farming sector is the highlight, with goats showcased on the platform. The Swakara pelts will also be judged and displayed, with the winning pelt featured on the premises," Burger added.
In addition to the livestock and agricultural focus, the show will feature an investment conference, a music bash, and fun activities for children.
