Supporters of the Popular Democratic Movement (PDM) are protesting the Electoral Commission of Namibia's award of the ballot printing tender to Ren-Form CC, a South African-based company.

Members and supporters from the party are marching from UN Plaza in Katutura to the ECN, where they will hand over a petition containing details as to why they are dissatisfied with the tender being awarded to the company.

Representatives of 18 political parties are currently in Johannesburg, South Africa, to observe the design, layout, production, printing, and packaging of the ballot papers.

The PDM is one of three political parties that declined to form part of the delegation. The others are the Christian Democratic Voice Party and the Republican Party of Namibia.
