The Keetmanshoop Town Council has successfully hosted an Investment Day aimed at boosting the town's economic growth.
The event was part of the just-ended Keetmanshoop Agricultural, Industrial, and Tourism Expo.
The event brought together local entrepreneurs, community members, and investors to unlock new business opportunities and foster partnerships.
It was held under the theme 'Unlocking Keetmanshoop's Potential: Pathways to Sustainable Growth and Investment'.
"The Keetmanshoop Municipality is committed to developing infrastructure that will support sustainable growth and attract investment to our town. Our council remains open to public-private dialogue because we believe that collaboration is key to achieving our shared vision for economic opulence," said Keetmanshoop Mayor McDonald Hanse.
The mayor furthermore revealed the council is in talks with an investor to establish a drone school in the town.
In its presentation, the Development Bank of Namibia highlighted its Skilled-Based Facility product that resonates with the youth and promotes the culture of entrepreneurship.
Hyphen Namibia and the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board also delivered presentations at the event.
