The National Democratic Party's (NDP) President Lukato Lukato is appealing to Namibians to support leaders who are committed to transformative change.

Addressing the electorate at the launch of his 'Guerrilla Election campaign," Lukato pointed to the need to lift the nation out of poverty, unemployment, and inequality.

Lukato will not be contesting the presidential election, but his party, the NDP, will be on the ballot for the National Assembly.

He explained that though funds required to register as a presidential candidate were available to him, he was delayed in meeting the deadline.

The NDP leader, however, urged Namibians to vote for his party in their masses, assuring the nation that they are ready to offer practical solutions to some of the country's greatest challenges.

"Our presence in parliament will bring about the significant change needed to improve the lives of our people."

Lukato pledged a leadership style that prioritises accountability, transparency, and selflessness.

He assured the public that he, together with his leadership team, is not driven by greed but is determined to serve and hold the government responsible.

The party is also prepared to introduce innovative ideas to align with Namibia's Vision 2030.

He noted that various organisations and candidates are competing but emphasised the importance of selecting leaders who represent the aspirations of ordinary Namibians.

"As fellow Namibians, we are the people's servants and visionaries, committed to uniting our country."

The NDP is aiming for at least 20 seats in the National Assembly.
