President Nangolo Mbumba has pleaded with the Ovambanderu community to continue promoting peace and unity.
This message was contained in a speech delivered on his behalf at the Ovambanderu 100th Commemoration Day, commemorated at Omauezonjanda Village in the Omaheke Region.
Delivering the President's speech, the Director General of the National Planning Commission highlighted the suffering of the Ovambanderu community at the hands of the colonial administration.
Obeth Kandjoze stated that the Ovambanderu people, through their traditional leaders, should try by all means to avoid disputes.
Kandjoze also highlighted community developments in the Epukiro area.
The President donated a cow for the centenary celebrations.
