The Electoral Commission of Namibia's (ECN) De Wet Siluka has warned the public to refrain from spreading false information in relation to the elections.

Siluka emphasised the importance of verification of information from ECN before sharing it.

There has been information circulating on social media about recruitment, which Siluka said could create unnecessary confusion and mistrust.

Siluka noted that ECN remains committed to transparency and will continue to communicate all official announcements through its recognised channels.
