As the terms of the country's current regional governors begin to draw to a close, the Governor's Forum has pledged to continue striving for effective service delivery during the remainder of their tenure.
James Uerikua, the Chairperson of the Governor's Forum, expressed his sentiments:
"You might be aware we are moving closer to the end of our term as governors. We are in December; we're only left with three months in office. But we are committed to professionalism and service delivery up to the end of our term. And that is to ensure that we, as the people, deliver service to the best of our ability. We will continue to work together; we will continue to deliver our service to the best of our ability and everything else."
"On behalf of all governors, the Governor's Forum Chairperson extended his congratulations to President-Elect Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah on her recent victory in the presidential election."
"We pass our joint congratulations to the president-elect, Comrade Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, for the victory that she has gained through our recent peaceful and fair elections that just concluded. And indeed, Namibia is ready to usher in the first female president of our Republic."
The Governor's Forum Secretary, Elia Irimari, reflected on his journey as regional governor in Oshana.
"I have to mention it with an open heart and the desire for a lot of past nostalgia. The journey we have taken, here I am referring to my fellow governors. A journey we have all embarked on. We were far distances from one another, but we have created that strong bond of brotherhood and sisterhood. And whereby we have learned to understand and know one another very well. And also equally, everyone has shown their character, but all these characters have molded us to be able to embrace one another's diversities. So on this basis, to all governors, I say thanks for knowing one another."
