President-elect Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has commended businesspeople who supported her during her campaign for the Presidential elections, where she emerged victorious.
Dr. Nandi-Ndaitwah hosted a meet-and-greet business meeting as a thank-you for their unwavering support.
Addressing the gathering at the Ndaitwah residence at Onheleiwa village in the Okongo constituency, Ohangwena Region, she called on businesspeople to unite and work as a team to grow a strong, viable economy for the country.
She vowed to support businesses in the country, and she is ready to sit with them around the table to listen to their concerns.
She further advised them to explore business outside the country to bring more profit to Namibia.
Nandi-Ndaitwah says businesses are the backbone of any economy, as they play a key role in the country's development and job creation.
She further urged the business community and Namibians at large to refrain from corrupt practices as they bring chaos to countries.
