The B1 Road has seen heavy traffic flow as people return from their holiday destinations. 

The nbc News team made a turn at the Okahandja roadblock this morning and observed a long line of inbound traffic. 

Motorists described the journey as peaceful and smooth, despite the high flow and ongoing rains. 

Police officers on duty monitored the flow of vehicles, stopping drivers to enquire about their destinations, inspecting their driver's licenses, and ensuring road safety protocols were followed. 

Officers also reminded drivers of the importance of adhering to speed limits and refraining from overtaking in dangerous areas.

Meanwhile, buses and taxis were also in abundance, ferrying passengers to and from various destinations.

Motorists praised the presence of law enforcement at the mounted roadblock, noting it added a sense of security during their journey.

Authorities have encouraged all motorists to ensure that their vehicles are in excellent condition to handle the long distances.
