President Nangolo Mbumba is set to attend the inauguration ceremony of Ghana's President-elect, John Mahama, on Tuesday in the capital, Accra.
The Presidency, in a statement, announced that Dr. Mbumba would travel to Ghana on Monday.
It said that Namibia and Ghana share a longstanding bond of friendship and solidarity, which dates back to Namibia’s struggle for independence.
They continue to enjoy strong commercial ties, including beef exports from Namibia to Ghana.
The Presidency highlighted that President Mbumba's working visit presents an opportunity to further deepen the strong bilateral and trade relations between the two countries.
Ghana's President-elect Mahama garnered 56.3% of the vote against 41.3% for Mahamudu Bawumia, the outgoing Vice President, during the general elections held on 9th December 2024.
