The Namibia women's national indoor hockey team represents Namibia in women's international indoor hockey competitions and is looking ahead to tackling one of their first major competitions, the FIH Hockey World Cup.

Namibia's national team side will battle it out against the likes of Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Germany, Iran, Malaysia, Poland, South Africa and Trinidad & Tobago.

The team made appearances at the Indoor Hockey World Cup in 2011, ending in 10th place, 9th in 2018 and 12th in 2023.

Last month's performance at the Nkosi Cup in South Africa was a major highlight.

The women's team clinched gold, while the men's team put up a valiant fight, narrowly losing to South Africa in the final.

Reflecting on Namibia's hosting of the Africa Cup in Swakopmund last year, officials called it "a moment of immense pride for our nation.

These achievements have seen Namibia climb the global rankings, with the men's team now 14th and the women's team holding an impressive 12th position.

Before heading to Croatia, both teams will travel to the Netherlands for an intensive pre-tournament training camp.

The camp will feature coaching sessions with top European coaches and matches against the Hoefte Klassers, a high-level professional hockey league in Europe.

Additionally, the teams will play a series of friendly matches against Croatia and the USA as part of their preparation.

In an exclusive interview, the captain expressed confidence in the team.

Women's team captain shared her excitement.

The teams are set to depart for the Netherlands soon, with their sights firmly set on making an impact at the World Cup.
